Community Free API Limit

Updated: July 16, 2026Applicable chains: Celo Mainnet (42220) and Celo Sepolia Testnet (11142220)We are updating how Free tier API access is allocated on the chains listed above. Each chain now has its own shared pool of free API calls available to all Free tier users collectively, rather than a separate allocation per API key.Once a chain’s shared pool is depleted, Free tier requests on that chain will be temporarily unavailable until the pool resets. The reset time is indicated in the error response returned with each affected request. For higher, uninterrupted throughput, we recommend upgrading to API Pro.

Moonbeam Mainnet, Moonriver Mainnet, & Moonbase Alpha Testnet deprecation

Updated: July 15, 2026Effective date: July 31, 2026API support for the following chains will be deprecated:
  • Moonbeam Mainnet (chainid: 1284)
  • Moonriver Mainnet (chainid: 1285)
  • Moonbase Alpha Testnet (chainid: 1287)
After the effective date, API requests to these chains will no longer be supported.

[Upcoming Change] Reduced Maximum Records Per Request on the Free API Tier

Updated: May 1, 2026Effective date: July 1, 2026The maximum number of records returned per request will be reduced from 10,000 to 1,000 for Free tier API users. This change affects the following endpoints:What you need to do: Update your integration for the above endpoints to paginate records in batches of 1,000 or fewer.Note: If your application does not use any of the endpoints listed above, no action is required.

Scroll Mainnet (chainid: 534352) and Scroll Sepolia Testnet (chainid: 534351) API support will be deprecated effective April 16, 2026.After this date, API requests to these chains will no longer be supported.

MemeCore Formicarium Testnet (chainid: 43521) has migrated to Insectarium Testnet (chainid: 43522) effective February 25, 2026.API requests should now use the Insectarium Testnet (chainid: 43522) endpoint.

Swell Mainnet & Testnet deprecation

Swell Mainnet (chainid: 1923) and Swell Testnet (chainid: 1924) API support has been deprecated effective February 25, 2026.API requests to these chains are no longer supported.
